Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Avocado Chocolate Mousse

This creamy chocolate mousse is made with ripe avocados, cocoa powder, and natural sweeteners. It's silky, satisfying, and you’d never guess it’s made from avocado.

Ingredients (Serves 2–3):

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted

  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ¼ cup honey, maple syrup, or agave (adjust to taste)

  • ¼ cup plant-based milk (almond, oat, or regular milk)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: a few tablespoons of melted dark chocolate for a richer taste

Instructions:

  1. Blend Ingredients:
In a food processor or blender, combine avocados, cocoa powder, sweetener, milk, vanilla, and salt. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.

  2. Adjust Texture & Sweetness:
Taste and adjust by adding more milk (for a lighter texture) or sweetener (for more sweetness). Blend again until silky.

  3. Chill:
Scoop into small bowls or glasses. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

  4. Serve:
Top with berries, coconut flakes, chopped nuts, or a dusting of cocoa powder.

Tips:

  • Use ripe avocados for the creamiest texture — they should be soft, but not mushy.

  • Add instant coffee powder (½ tsp) for a mocha twist.

  • Keeps well in the fridge for 2–3 days, covered.
