Blood Orange Iced Tea

 Blood Orange Iced Tea

This beautiful iced tea combines the deep color and tangy-sweet flavor of blood oranges with black tea and a hint of honey. It’s fragrant, cooling, and visually stunning in a glass.

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 blood oranges, juiced (about ½ cup)

  • 2 cups boiling water

  • 2 black tea bags (or use green/hibiscus for variation)

  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1½ cups cold water

  • Ice cubes

  • Blood orange slices and mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew the Tea
Steep the tea bags in 2 cups of boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in honey or sugar while warm. Let it cool slightly.

  2. Add Citrus
Once cooled, stir in the blood orange juice and 1½ cups cold water.

  3. Chill and Serve
Refrigerate until cold or serve immediately over ice.

  4. Garnish
Add blood orange slices and mint to each glass for a fresh, colorful presentation.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, steep a strip of orange peel or a few mint leaves with the tea.

  • Make a sparkling version by replacing some cold water with club soda.

  • Use hibiscus tea for a caffeine-free, vibrant red alternative.
