To Serve:
-
Stack waffles on a plate, top with crispy chicken.
-
Drizzle generously with maple syrup or hot honey.
-
Optional: Add butter or serve with coleslaw on the side.
Tips:
-
Don’t skip the buttermilk marinade — it makes the chicken juicy and tender.
-
Use a wire rack to keep fried chicken crispy while you make waffles.
-
Make it spicy with a dash of cayenne in the flour or a spicy maple syrup.
