Chicken Burgers

Ingredients:
For the patties:

1 lb (450g) ground chicken

2 tablespoons breadcrumbs

1 egg
-
1 garlic clove (minced)

1 teaspoon onion powder
-
½ teaspoon paprika
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
¼ teaspoon black pepper
-
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
For serving:

4 burger buns
-
Lettuce leaves
-
Tomato slices
-
Pickles
-
Sliced red onion
-
Mayonnaise, ketchup, or your favorite sauce
Instructions:

Make the Patty Mixture
In a bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until just combined — don’t overwork. -
Form Patties
Divide mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each into a patty slightly larger than the bun (they shrink a little when cooked). -
Cook the Patties
Heat a grill pan or nonstick skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil it. Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through (internal temp: 165°F / 74°C). -
Toast the Buns
Optionally toast burger buns in the same pan or on the grill until golden. -
Assemble the Burgers
Spread sauce on the buns, layer lettuce, patty, tomato, onion, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun. -
Serve Hot
Pair with fries, sweet potato wedges, or a fresh salad.
Tips:

For extra juicy burgers, add a tablespoon of Greek yogurt to the mix.

Prefer spicy? Add a dash of chili flakes or a spoonful of hot sauce to the patty mix.
