 Chocolate Fudge Swirl

This decadent dessert features layers of creamy vanilla or chocolate base with thick, rich ribbons of homemade chocolate fudge. Serve it chilled as a parfait, pudding cup, or frozen treat.

Ingredients (Serves 4):

For the Vanilla or Chocolate Base (Pudding Style):

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)

  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or 2 tablespoons cocoa powder for chocolate base)

  • Pinch of salt

For the Fudge Swirl:

  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

1. Make the Pudding Base:

  • In a saucepan (off heat), whisk milk, cornstarch, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.

  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.

  • Remove from heat, cool slightly, then pour into glasses or jars halfway full.

2. Prepare the Chocolate Fudge Sauce:

  • In a small saucepan, combine condensed milk, cocoa powder, butter, and salt.

  • Stir over low heat until smooth and glossy (about 3–5 minutes).

  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

3. Swirl and Chill:

  • Spoon or drizzle fudge over the pudding.

  • Use a skewer or toothpick to create a swirl effect.

  • Chill in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours before serving.

Tips:

  • You can freeze this into popsicle molds for a fudge swirl ice cream treat.

  • Use dark cocoa for an intense chocolate flavor.

  • Add crushed biscuits or nuts between layers for texture.
