 Cookies and Cream Ice Cream

Rich, creamy vanilla ice cream studded with crunchy chocolate cookie pieces — Cookies and Cream Ice Cream is a beloved favorite for all ages. Easy to make at home and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • 15–20 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), roughly chopped

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ice Cream Base
In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar dissolves. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  2. Churn the Ice Cream
Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

  3. Add the Cookies
Gently fold in the chopped cookies during the last few minutes of churning or immediately after churning.

  4. Freeze
Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container, cover, and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.

Tips:

  • For extra crunch, reserve some cookie pieces to sprinkle on top when serving.

  • Use gluten-free cookies if needed for dietary restrictions.
