Garlic Bread
Garlic Bread is the ultimate side dish — golden, fragrant, and easy to make at home. Whether served with pasta, soup, or eaten on its own, it's always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
-
1 baguette or Italian loaf
-
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
-
3–4 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried)
-
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for extra crispness)
-
Pinch of salt
-
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, olive oil (if using), and a pinch of salt. Mix well to combine.
3. Slice the Bread
Cut the bread into thick slices, about 1–1.5 inches, without cutting all the way through (accordion-style), or slice completely if preferred.
4. Spread the Garlic Butter
Spread or spoon the garlic butter mixture generously between slices and over the top of the bread. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan if using.
5. Bake
Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 10–12 minutes. For a crispier top, open the foil and bake an additional 3–5 minutes.
6. Serve
Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
Tips
-
Add mozzarella or cheddar for cheesy garlic bread
-
Use roasted garlic for a sweeter, milder flavor
-
Try with herb butter for variety (basil, oregano, thyme)
Serving Suggestions
Perfect alongside pasta, pizza, grilled meats, soups, or salads — or simply as a snack on its own.
