Iced Mango Lassi
A chilled, creamy blend of ripe mangoes, yogurt, and a hint of cardamom — this iced mango lassi is the perfect way to cool down and enjoy the tropical sweetness of summer.
Ingredients (Serves 2–3):
-
1 cup ripe mango (fresh or frozen, diced)
-
1 cup plain yogurt (preferably full-fat)
-
½ cup cold milk
-
2–3 tablespoons sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
-
¼ teaspoon ground cardamom (optional)
-
1 cup ice cubes
-
Fresh mint or mango slices, for garnish
Instructions:
-
Blend:
In a blender, combine mango, yogurt, milk, sugar (or honey), and cardamom. Add ice and blend until smooth and frothy. -
Taste and Adjust:
Taste for sweetness and consistency. Add more milk for a thinner lassi, or more mango for a thicker one. -
Serve Cold:
Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with fresh mint or mango slices if desired. Serve immediately.
Tips:
-
Use Alphonso or Ataulfo mangoes for the best flavor and color.
-
If using canned mango pulp, reduce added sugar.
-
Cardamom adds a fragrant, authentic touch — but you can skip it for a simpler flavor.
