Mint Green Tea
Refreshing, aromatic, and packed with antioxidants, Mint Green Tea is a soothing drink you can enjoy hot or cold. The fresh mint complements the grassy notes of green tea, making it both invigorating and relaxing.
Ingredients:
-
2 cups water
-
1–2 green tea bags (or 1 tablespoon loose green tea)
-
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
-
1–2 teaspoons honey or sweetener (optional)
-
Lemon slices (optional)
Instructions:
-
Boil the Water
Bring the water to a boil, then let it cool slightly (ideal temp: around 80°C / 175°F) to avoid burning the green tea. -
Steep the Tea
Add the green tea and mint leaves to the hot water. Let steep for 2–3 minutes for a mild brew, or up to 5 minutes for a stronger flavor. -
Sweeten (Optional)
Remove the tea bags or strain the leaves, then stir in honey or sweetener if desired. -
Serve
Enjoy hot, or pour over ice for a chilled version. Garnish with a lemon slice or a sprig of fresh mint.
Tips:
-
For iced mint green tea, chill the tea in the fridge for 1–2 hours and serve over ice with extra mint.
-
Add a splash of lemon juice for brightness and extra vitamin C.
Health Note:
Green tea is rich in antioxidants like catechins, while mint aids digestion and adds natural freshness.
