Fresh Cherry Juice

 Fresh Cherry Juice

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Servings: 2–3 glasses

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted

  • ½ cup cold water (optional, for a smoother consistency)

  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or sugar (optional, depending on taste)

  • Ice cubes (optional)

  • Fresh mint leaves or a few whole cherries for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Select the Cherries: Choose ripe, firm, and deep-colored cherries. Avoid cherries that are soft, bruised, or moldy.

  2. Wash Thoroughly: Rinse the cherries under cold running water to remove dirt or residues. Pat dry with a clean towel.

  3. Pit the Cherries: Remove the pits from all cherries using a cherry pitter or a small knife to ensure the juice is smooth and safe to consume.

  4. Blend the Cherries: Place the pitted cherries into a blender. Add cold water if desired for a smoother consistency. Blend until fully pureed.

  5. Strain (Optional): For a pulp-free juice, pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a jug, pressing gently to extract all the liquid.

  6. Sweeten if Desired: Taste the juice. Add 1–2 teaspoons of honey or sugar if additional sweetness is preferred, stirring until fully dissolved.

  7. Serve Cold: Pour the juice into glasses over ice cubes for a refreshing and naturally sweet drink.

  8. Garnish for Presentation: Add a fresh mint leaf or a few whole cherries to each glass for an appealing presentation.
