Fresh Pear Juice

 Fresh Pear Juice

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 2–3 glasses

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 ripe pears (Bartlett or Bosc varieties recommended)

  • ½ cup cold water (optional, for a smoother consistency)

  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or sugar (optional, depending on taste)

  • Ice cubes (optional)

  • Fresh mint leaves or pear slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Select the Pears: Choose ripe, firm pears that yield slightly to gentle pressure and are free from bruises or blemishes.

  2. Wash Thoroughly: Rinse the pears under cold running water to remove dirt or residues. Pat dry with a clean towel.

  3. Peel and Core: Peel the pears if desired (the skin is edible) and remove the core. Cut the flesh into smaller pieces for easier blending.

  4. Blend the Pears: Place the pear pieces into a blender. Add cold water if desired for a smoother consistency. Blend until fully pureed.

  5. Strain (Optional): For a smooth, pulp-free juice, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a jug.

  6. Sweeten if Needed: Taste the juice and add 1–2 teaspoons of honey or sugar if extra sweetness is desired. Stir or blend briefly to combine.

  7. Serve Cold: Pour the juice into glasses over ice cubes for a refreshing and naturally sweet beverage.

  8. Garnish for Presentation: Add a fresh mint leaf or a pear slice to each glass to enhance visual appeal and aroma.
