Watermelon Cooler
This simple cooler is made from fresh watermelon blended with lime and a splash of cold water. It's naturally sweet, hydrating, and ideal for warm days or as a fruity drink for gatherings.
Ingredients (Serves 3–4):
-
4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and chilled
-
Juice of 1 fresh lime
-
½ to 1 cup cold water (adjust for desired consistency)
-
1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional, based on sweetness of the fruit)
-
Ice cubes
-
Mint leaves and lime slices, for garnish
Instructions:
-
Blend:
In a blender, combine watermelon cubes, lime juice, cold water, and sweetener (if using). Blend until smooth. -
Strain (Optional):
For a smoother drink, pour the mixture through a fine sieve to remove pulp. -
Serve:
Fill glasses with ice and pour the cooler over. Garnish with fresh mint and lime slices.
Tips:
-
Use very ripe watermelon for natural sweetness — often no extra sugar is needed.
-
Add a few fresh mint leaves to the blender for a cooling herbal twist.
-
For a slushy version, freeze the watermelon cubes before blending.
