Guava Cream Ice Cream

 Guava Cream Ice Cream

Creamy and bursting with tropical flavor, Guava Cream Ice Cream combines the sweet, floral taste of ripe guava with a smooth, luscious texture. It’s a unique and refreshing dessert that’s perfect for sunny days or special occasions.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups guava purée (from fresh guavas or canned)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Guava Purée
If using fresh guavas: peel, seed, and blend the flesh until smooth. Strain to remove any grit or seeds.
If using canned guava pulp, make sure it’s unsweetened or adjust sweetness to taste.

  2. Mix the Base
In a large bowl, whisk together the guava purée, cream, milk, condensed milk, lime juice, vanilla (if using), and a pinch of salt until smooth.

  3. Chill
Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or until well chilled.

  4. Churn the Ice Cream
Pour into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  5. Freeze Until Firm
Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 2–4 hours, or until set.

Tips:

  • For extra richness, add an extra 1/4 cup condensed milk or a spoonful of cream cheese.

  • Guava pairs well with coconut, so feel free to stir in shredded coconut or swirl in coconut cream.

Serving Suggestions:

Top with lime zest, drizzle with coconut milk, or pair with tropical fruits like mango or pineapple.
