1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
-
1 tablespoon lime juice
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
-
Pinch of salt

If using fresh guavas: peel, seed, and blend the flesh until smooth. Strain to remove any grit or seeds.
If using canned guava pulp, make sure it’s unsweetened or adjust sweetness to taste. -
Mix the Base
In a large bowl, whisk together the guava purée, cream, milk, condensed milk, lime juice, vanilla (if using), and a pinch of salt until smooth. -
Chill
Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours or until well chilled. -
Churn the Ice Cream
Pour into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. -
Freeze Until Firm
Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 2–4 hours, or until set.
Tips:
-
For extra richness, add an extra 1/4 cup condensed milk or a spoonful of cream cheese.
-
Guava pairs well with coconut, so feel free to stir in shredded coconut or swirl in coconut cream.
Serving Suggestions:
Top with lime zest, drizzle with coconut milk, or pair with tropical fruits like mango or pineapple.
